A beautiful amalgamation of wonderful gifts of nature, Kashid is a upcoming tourist destination in Maharashtra. Located on the Konkan region this beautiful place offers excellent experience of

relaxation, pleasure and climate to the tourists. Earlier it was an unknown destination but now it is coming up on its own as a favourite week end destination. It is true that beauty can not be suppressed.
Kashid is placed between two rocky hills on the shores of the Arabian sea. The landscape of the place is like a drawing. Starting from the rice field, gorgeous sea to white sand, peaceful mountains, dancing
water stream and lakes, it has got all. The 3 km long stretch of Kashid's beach is an amazing place to
bury yourself on the sand.

Attractions
The main attraction of Kashid is calm and serene atmosphere on the beach. There are no water sports
or adventure activities on the beach. But an excellent place to be with oneself or be with nature.
Build castles in the air or on the ground or just soak up the quiet, it's up to you how you want to loose
yourself. Just a few kms away from Kashid is Murud another beach destination. It is a clean beach
basically dominated by fisherman.
Kashid also has some historical places to unwind yourself. One such place is renowned Janjira fort.
Janjira is an island fort beautifully located on the middle of the sea which is actually a pleasing site
indeed. It should mention here that Janjira in marathi a derivation of the Arabic word Jazirah, which
means an island.
Datta Mandir is another worth visiting place in Kashid. The red-domed temple at the summit of a hill
has a lovely panoramic view. The 20 minutes strenuous climb to the top is rewarded with darshan of
the idol and a magnanimous view of the entire coastal belt.

Near by attractions:

Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary : For the nature lovers it is another scope to feel the nature in Phansad
Wildlife Sanctuary. It is infact ornithologist's delight. It is a home to several types of birds, butterflies
ans snakes as well as sambhar, deer and leopard.

How to get there :

Nearest airport is Mumbai and from Mumbai, Kashid is 135 km. Kashid is well connected from Mummbai and Pune by road as well as by train.

Harihareshwar

Konkan is dotted with some beautiful destinations and among them one is Harihareshwar. Just 175 kms from Pune Harihareshwar is one of the finest places in Maharashtra. It is the end of April and I am sure all travel enthusiasts are planning for their summer trip. Nothing can be  more  alluring than the lap of Himalaya during summer. Yes!
